A speculative object for the year 2478 — a soundless future where touch becomes the new way to find your loved ones.

Year 2478: sound has been outlawed in public space. The Haptic Medallion answers with heat — a zirconia ceramic pebble that warms in the palm as you near whoever carries its pair.
